After graduating from the ESSEC Business school, Mathieu worked as a product manager with Atlas Editions for 4 years.
In 1999, he started taking acting classes at the Theatre du Rond Point in Paris and the HB Studio in New York and became an actor. Since 2001, he has been working in France and abroad (in English and Spanish) on a regular basis. On stage, he has played leading roles as in the 2004 production of « Trois jours de pluie », directed by Jean-Marie Besset at the Théâtre de l’Atelier, in Florian Zeller’s « L’Autre » in 2005 at the Théâtre des Mathurins, or in « Romance », directed by Pierre Laville in 2006 at the Théâtre Tristan Bernard. In 2011, he played François Truffaut at the Lucernaire in the 6-month production run of « Hitch ».
In Parrallel, he has worked for TV on a regular basis in the past years. He starred in « Notable donc coupable » as well as « L’oncle de Russie » directed by Francis Girod, « Clara Sheller », « Human Bomb », « Les secrets du volcan », « A droite toute! » directed by Marcel Bluwal, and « Mitterand à Vichy » directed by Serge Moatti, in which he played François Mitterand, his first leading role on screen.
In 2005, he joined the DB&A team to make his double expertise available to large industrial groups. He went on to become a true communications specialist, teaching public speaking and relations management in both French and English.
